For Magic Kingdom, notable changes include extending closing times to 11 pm on several days in early and mid-April, with opening times as early as 8 am on selected dates. Disney's Animal Kingdom will open an hour earlier at 8 am and extend closing times by 1 to 2 hours on various dates throughout April.

Extended Evening Hours for April 2024 are: Monday, April 1st — EPCOT, 9PM – 11PM. Wednesday, April 3rd — Magic Kingdom, 9PM – 11PM. Monday, April 8th — EPCOT, 9PM – 11PM.

The answer is the MagicBand! Your resort reservations are linked to your MagicBands through your My Disney Experience account, and, during Extra Magic Hours, you must scan your MagicBand to enter the park early. Or, during evening Extra Magic Hours, you must scan your MagicBand at any rides or attractions.

On select nights, certain parks are open two hours after park close exclusively to Deluxe Resort guests. This is an underrated perk that can really help you get more done in the parks. Disney has confirmed the benefit will continue for visits through 2025.

While originally promoted as a special perk for the 50th Anniversary, Walt Disney World has confirmed that Extended Evening Hours will continue throughout all of 2024 for guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels.

Normally, EPCOT holds the extended hours benefit on Monday nights while Magic Kingdom Park holds the benefit on Wednesday nights. The benefit usually lasts for two hours beyond the normal closing time. For example, if Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to close at 9:00 PM, the extended hours benefit goes until 11:00 PM!

Disney has since announced that Extra Magic Hours benefits will not return. Instead, guests at official Disney resort hotels and select Disney partner hotels will be able to enjoy 30-minute early entry to ANY theme park, EVERY day. This new Disney early theme park entry benefit will debut Oct.
